Skansen — the world's oldest open-air museum — occupies the eastern end of Djurgården island, next door to Gröna Lund and the ABBA Museum. Parking on the island is limited and expensive; the better approach is to leave the car at a Strandvägen or Narvavägen garage on the Östermalm mainland and walk 10 minutes across Djurgårdsbron bridge. Tram 7 (Djurgårdslinjen) stops at Skansen directly — about 15 minutes from the city centre by tram, running every 10 minutes in summer.

The cheapest option right now is Skeppsholmsviken at 75 kr/h. Nearest is Parkering (OSM way), about a 1-minute walk from Parking at Skansen, Stockholm. Good to know: If you're combining Skansen with Gröna Lund or the ABBA Museum (all within 5 minutes' walk of each other), park once on the mainland side and walk between them — moving the car between Djurgården attractions is almost always slower than walking.

Skansen's official lot at Djurgårdsslätten is the closest option but fills early on summer weekends. Garages on Strandvägen (Östermalm side) are roughly 10 minutes' walk via Djurgårdsbron and almost always have space. Expect 30–60 SEK/hour (approx. €2.60–€5.20 / $2.80–$5.60) for mainland garages.
