Parking on Djurgården, Stockholm

Djurgården is Stockholm's tourist island — the Vasa Museum, Skansen, Gröna Lund, the ABBA Museum and the Nordic Museum all sit within a few hundred metres of each other. Parking on the island itself is limited and expensive on weekends; most visitors do better parking on the Östermalm side and walking across Djurgårdsbron (the bridge) into the museum area.

The cheapest option right now is Parkering (OSM way) at Gratis. Nearest is Hasselbacken, garage, about a 3-minute walk from Parking on Djurgården, Stockholm. Good to know: If you're visiting more than one museum on the island, parking on the Östermalm side and walking is almost always better than moving the car around — Djurgården's one-way road system makes shuffling between attractions slower than walking.

Djurgården's road network was designed for royal carriages, not parking lots. The official lots fill quickly on weekends — particularly during summer when Gröna Lund is open. The garages around Strandvägen and Karlavägen on the Östermalm side stay reasonable and the walk over the bridge is short and scenic. Hasselbacken, garage is closest on the list, about a 3-minute walk from Parking on Djurgården, Stockholm. Parkering (OSM way) is the cheapest option at Gratis.
